Joint Forces Command

Joint Forces Command is the highest echelon in the ROD military structure. It provides unified strategic direction for all ROD military forces, and it provides operational headquarters and staff. 

Reporting to the Joint Forces Commander are the Chiefs of Staff for each branch of the military, as well as several special staff officers and deputy commanders. In addition, all joint task forces report to the Joint Forces Commander. Joint Task Forces can be permanent organizations (for example JTF-M) or they can be temporary commands established for specific missions.
