Fourth Fleet
Fourth Fleet is an interesting outfit in that it is made up entirely of Navy Reserve units. Some personnel are assigned to shore duty and they can be assigned temporarily to a ship (to relieve an active duty crew for example). Fourth Fleet does, however, maintain some older ships and aircraft, which some would consider obsolete.
Fourth Fleet Headquarters
The Fourth Fleet Headquarters is much smaller than its active duty counterparts, and its equipment is aged compared to the other fleets. Don't let this perceived weakness fool you! The reservists are generally veterans of prior active duty campaigns, and they use their experience to great effect. Some would say Fourth Fleet plays dirty, but they prefer to think of themselves as improvising and "thinking outside the box".

Carrier Battle Group 19
CVBG-19 is built around the Midway class aircraft carrier Phantom, the oldest aircraft carrier in ROD service. In addition to the Phantom (CV-19), the battle group includes the Ticonderoga class cruiser Bulldog (CG-50), three Spruance class destroyers from DESRON 40: Grapeshot (DDG-126), Rapier (DDG-137), and Gladius (DDG-144), and the Sacramento class fast support ship Bobcat (AOE-105).
Carrier Air Wing 9 is assigned to the Phantom. It includes VA-4 "Dragons" (12 x A-6E), VF-9 "Gunslingers" (12 x F-8H), VA-28 "Tatonkas" (12 x A-7E), VS-48 "Spartans" (8 x S-3B), VF-54 "Red Raiders" (12 x F-4S), HCS-75 "Angry Ferrets" (8 x SH-3H), and VAK-90 "Moonshine" (4 x KA-6D).
Reserve Naval Air Wing 10
There are many reserve aviation squadrons in the ROD Navy, The reserve fighter squadrons are grouped into Reserve Naval Air Wing 10. These squadrons include VF-1 "Myrmidons" (12 x F-4S), VF-2 "Black Widows" (12 x F-4S), VF-8 "Scorpions" (12 x F-4S), VF-39 "Specter" (12 x F-14C), VF-43 "Lancers" (12 x F-8H), and VF-47 "Hell Hounds" (12 x F-14C).
Reserve Naval Air Wing 11
There are many reserve aviation squadrons in the ROD Navy, The reserve attack squadrons are grouped into Reserve Naval Air Wing 11. These squadrons include VA-14 "Barbarians" (12 x A-6E), VA-15 "Cobras" (12 x A-4F), VA-18 "Tigers" (12 x A-6E), VA-49 "Swordfish" (12 x A-7E), VA-52 "Dog Pound" (12 x A-6E), and VQ-59 "Junkyard Dogs" (12 x RF-4C).
