The Army is growing, and part of that growth means realigning resources to meet current and future operational needs. Army bases are a huge part of that equation. Below are the current army facilities.
Armadillo Barracks
Armadillo Barracks is located in the arid south-east desert of the ROD. This sprawling base is home to the Armor Branch headquarters and the Armor School. In addition, the vast maneuver area is home of the Combat Maneuver Training Center (CMTC) where entire brigades can maneuver against each other or conduct live fire training.
Camp Hades
A high-security installation in a secluded region of the ROD, Camp Hades is home to the ROD’s intelligence and special operations units. The Military Intelligence Branch headquarters is located at Camp Hades, as is the Intel Training Center. It is also the home of several Army Intelligence and Special Operations units.
Eagle Barracks
High in the mountains is Eagle Barracks, home of Army aviation. Aviation Branch is headquartered here, along with the aviation training program.
Erinsburg Military Medical Center (EMMC)
EMMC is one of the largest medical facilities in the ROD, providing the finest medical care to our nation’s military personnel, veterans, and dependents. This massive complex also houses the Medical Branch headquarters and the military medical school.
Grizzly Barracks
Grizzly Barracks is home to the Army’s Combat Service Support Center, which is the headquarters and training apparatus of the Adjutant General /Finance, Chaplain, Judge Advocate General, and Military Police Branches.
Timber Barracks
Located at the foothills of a major mountain chain, the picturesque Timber Barracks is home to the Army’s Combat Support Training Center. Headquarters and training programs for Quartermaster / Ordnance, Chemical, and Signal Branches are all located at Timber Barracks.
Kurth Barracks
Kurth Barracks, located on the south-western coast, is named for a famous infantry officer killed in action. It is home to the Infantry Branch headquarters and the Infantry School, which includes airborne and Recondo training.
North Barracks
This picturesque base to the north of the country is home to several independent Brigades and it is the administrative center for the Army Reserve.
Redleg Barracks
This sprawling base is home to the largest artillery impact area in the world. Redleg Barracks is artillery central for the ROD. It is home to the Field Artillery Branch headquarters and school, as well as the Air Defense Artillery Branch and school. In addition to training, active duty artillery units keep the impact area hot.
Warrior Barracks
This beautiful base located near the coast is a brand-new facility, purpose built for the ROD’s Mechanized Infantry Divisions. Over 35,000 troops call this base home and they welcome all of the state-of-the-art training and deployment facilities.
