For the most part, the ROD Air Force is based on the home island at several vast Air Force bases. There are, however, several overseas air bases in use by forward-deployed Air Force units.
Air Force Training Center
All training of Air Force personnel is performed at one massive, centralized location. AFTC is responsible for training new enlisted airmen, as well as officer courses and flight training. This base contains all of the typical training resources, like barracks, NBC training, rifle ranges, etc. It also has a large runway and aircraft maintenance facilities for supporting the various flight training programs for both pilots and maintainers.
Infierno Field
Down in the southern desert is Infierno Field. This base is not terribly large or fancy, but the wide open areas surrounding the base enable pilots to conduct large training exercises that includes both air to air combat and air to ground strikes.
Luthy Field
Named for a famous Air Force pilot, Luthy Field is known as the unofficial home of the F-16 in the ROD. Multiple fighter wings are stationed here, so there are well over 100 F-16s on the tarmac or in the air at any given time.
Raven Field
Raven Field is a beautiful location along the coast and it is the Air Mobility Command’s main transport hub. There is always a lot of activity at this base as the Air Force’s C-130s and C-17s always seem to be on the move.
Vulture Field
On the northern coast, Vulture Field is perhaps best known as the location for the annual International Fighter Rodeo. It is also home to several combat wing, including the ROD’s bombers. It is also the home base for the 1st Fighter Squadron - the famous Sky Dogs demonstration team.
Pegasus Field
An intentionally secluded location was chosen for Pegasus Field, the home of Air Force Special Operations, which includes strategic reconnaissance. In addition to the airfield and hangar facilities, there are also large training areas and several mock ups of cities and villages which are used to mission planning and training.
Hatyaara Field (Mahishmati)
Located in the Kingdom of Mahishmati, Hatyaara Field is the home of the 5th Fighter Wing. Adjacent to the base are housing areas and schools for the dependents of ROD personnel.
Rammstein Air Base (Germany)
Rammstein Air Base is a large US Air Force base located in Germany. Because only a single ROD fighter squadron is permanently stationed in Germany, the ROD unit is residing on an American base.
Bydgoszcz Air Base (Poland)
ROD aircraft that are stationed in Poland operate from Bydgoszcz Air Base, which is a combined civilian / military airfield in Esster Poland. Military facilities are located away from the civilian terminal in a high security area and, in essence, they only share the runway.
